Position Available - Director of Children's Activities

 

The Director of Children’s Ministries is responsible for overseeing the entire children’s ministry, from birth through 5th grade.  Our aim is to ensure a smoothly operating, safe and effective program.  This is a part-time, hourly paid staff position, of approximately 20 hours per week; Bethel is also open to job sharing of this position.  Applicants need to be available during worship services and major gatherings whenever childcare may be needed, mainly weekends and evenings.  Desired talents or abilities include • Loves babies and children • Aptitude for leading programs and supervising adult volunteers • Administration • Good organizational skills • Knowledge and aptitude in use of technology with children • Relating to children from a wide range of ages

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Design an overall strategy for the spiritual growth of children Kindergarten – 5th grade    

2. Recruit, train, equip, and lead volunteers for the Children’s Ministry area

3. Provide overall leadership for all Children’s Ministry activities

4. Oversee childcare for children ages 9 months – 6 years old

5. Supervise additional childcare workers, paid staff as well as volunteers
