Rev. Ann Lock was appointed to serve Bethel UMC in September 2025 by Bishop Lanette Plambeck. Pastor Ann earned her M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She was ordained as an elder in the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, where she served both rural and urban churches in the first 13 years of her ministry career. Preceding her appointment to Bethel, Pastor Ann served as interim pastor at Living Spirit UMC in south Minneapolis. 
In her first career, Ann trained as an actor and worked in theater in Chicago and New York, supporting herself as an administrator in management consulting and financial firms. She and her designer/artist spouse Keven moved to Minnesota in 2023 to support family and to take advantage of the arts in the Twin Cities. They live in Minneapolis with their cats, Thomas and Scout.
