Director of Music
If you love a wide variety of music, you might really love worshiping at Bethel! A brand new Director of Music was hired the summer of '18, and will carry on the long history of great music at Bethel. Sue has great energy and passion for worship music, and looks to be a wonderful fit for Bethel's eclectic style! Sue comes with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in music from UW-Madison, along with 17 years of experience leading both traditional and contemporary church music. She hails from Wisconsin, and currently resides in Excelsior, where she and her husband are kept busy with their three teenage boys. Sue is the person you should see about joining the music ministries at Bethel, be it on a weekly basis or just once in a while. She loves to include everyone!
Bethel welcomes Rajean to the team as its new Office Admin. Rajean brings to Bethel years of customer service and office management experience. She earned her BA in Public Administration and Political Science from Southwest State University, and has served in both the Minnesota army national guard and the U.S. Naval Reserves. Currently Rajean lives right here in Mound and her hobbies include baking chocolate chip cookies, playing badminton with her family, and watching movies on Netflix (some of her favorites are Fletch, Yentl, and Caddy Shack). Rajean is who you should talk to about communicating your event around town, or booking a room at the church. You are encouraged to stop in and get to know her further!
Director of Children's Ministries
Emily grew up at Bethel and has recently returned to us as the Director of Children’s Ministries. She lives in Rockford and is usually accompanied by her two daughters. Emily is bringing her love of children and organizing to her position and looks forward to further developing the children’s ministry at Bethel. Stop by to see her or send her an email if you have any questions or suggestions for our kids!
April keeps Bethel looking fresh and shiny every week. You may never see her though, because she is a very active mom during the week, and often takes care of the church after everyone else has gone home. April joined the Bethel staff in May 2017. What you may not know is that April dreams about moving to Hawaii someday, laying on the hot beaches, and never thinking about snow again! If there is ever an issue with any part of the facilities, please let April know, and she will gladly take care of it. The email below connects to the office for your convenience.
